Zola Mcaciso

Zola is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa. He has advised corporate and public sector clients across a range of labour and employment matters, and appears at the CCMA, the Labour Court and various bargaining councils. He has extensive experience in the Higher Education, Retail and Banking Sectors.
Zola has a particular interest in sports and immigration law, and has acted for corporate and individual clients in both.
Career
Zola completed his LLB at the University of the Western Cape in 2014, where he graduated amongst the top 7 students in his class. He commenced his career in 2015 as a candidate attorney at Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, and was later appointed an associate in the firm’s employment law department. Zola is currently finalising his thesis and shall soon graduate with an LLM in Employment Law from the University of Cape Town.

Experience
Zola has advised both corporate and public sector clients across a wide range of labour and employment matters. These include employment equity, executive terminations, high-level disciplinary issues and disputes, unfair dismissals, unfair labour practices, organisational rights, restraint of trade, and industrial action disputes such as strikes and lockouts. He also drafts employment agreements, policies and procedures, and conducts forensic and internal workplace investigations. Zola regularly conducts seminars and training on a range of employment topics, and appears at the CCMA and bargaining councils.
Zola has advised clients on immigration and sports law matters. He has considerable knowledge of the rules and regulations of the National Soccer League in South Africa, and of the procedures of the NSL Dispute Resolution Chamber.
